Simon joined the RAF towards the end of the cold war serving initially as a RAF Regiment Gunner and later retraining as an Aircraft Technician specialised in weapon systems.  This combination of roles instilled an acute attention to detail from working with explosives and unrivalled pride and devotion from being a Gunner.  His service in the UK and Germany included the elite Queens Colour Sqn, 5131 Bomb Disposal Sqn, Buccaneer, Hunter, Phantom, Tornado and Chinook aircraft sqns and deployment on multiple high-risk operations to the Persian Gulf and Balkan regions.

Simon later became a Customs and Immigration Officer protecting the UK border and carrying out anti-smuggling duties.

  He now brings this wealth of varied experience, unique service ethos and pride to the world of commercial drone flying to offer the best service possible.
